1) How You Can Start Your Own Web Business in a Matter of Minutes

If you've often thought about starting your own web business, but the idea of having to design your website (or pay someone else to), organise web hosting, a domain name & more, has all been too much, then keep reading. These days, you don't have to follow the traditional steps to gain yourself your own piece of web space. Here are three simple ways you can gain an online presence in just minutes, without spending a fortune.

  1. Start a Blog - The term 'blog' is short for weblog. A blog is a frequently updated guide/diary often containing up to date information related it's topic (ie. a gardening blog, would contain latest information related to the gardening industry), &/or what is happening in the author's life.

There are many websites which will allow you to start a blog for free - no need to register a domain name, organise hosting, or even design a web page (they provide free blog templates). They are designed to be easy & simple to understand for even the newest computer/internet user. One of the best free blogging resources can be found at Blogger.

Once you've signed up, & created your blog, you can then start making money with it. You can sign-up for a Google AdSense account, & start displaying ads on your blog, related to the subject of your blog. Another option, is to sign-up for some affiliate programs , & display their ads/your affiliate link on your blog.

  2. Sell on eBay - eBay has almost 150 million members, & processes over $1,000US in sales every second. The beauty of selling on eBay, is unlike your own website - where you need to drive customers to your site - the customers come to you. All you need to do is decide what you are going to sell.

The easiest way to start, is to have a look around your house or shed for anything you don't use, or don't want anymore. Take a few good pictures of it, design an attractive listing (you don't need to use professional templates for starters, just a simple ad with a good description of the product), & decide how you'll price your item. Don't have anything at home you want to sell? Take a look at your local second hand shop, or your neighbour's garage sale - you never know what treasures you might find.

It's free to sign up for eBay, & only costs a small amount to list & sell an item. You can also start your own eBay store - with your own web address - from $14.95 a month.

  3. Google Page Creator - Google's Page Creator is a free online tool that makes it easy for anyone to create useful, & attractive web pages in just a few minutes. They provide a simple WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) page editor, that will enable you to build your own page, without any HTML knowledge. There is no need to worry about hosting, as your web page will be hosted by Google - your web address will be http://yoursitename.googlepages.com

You will be able to make money with your Google web page, using the same techniques outline for your blog - Google AdSense, affiliate programs, or even sell your own product. There are no limits to what you can do...it's your own web page!

There's never been a better time to start your online business. These free & low cost web resources, offer you a great opportunity to learn about internet marketing, without having to invest large sums of money, or understand HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language, used for designing/programming websites). Try starting your own blog, Google page, or selling on eBay today, & just see where it takes you.
