1) Run Your Own Profitable Internet Business in Only an Hour a Day!!!...Is It Really True???

I'm sure many of you have seen the headlines - "Stay at Home Mum Makes $50,000 a Year Working Less Than 10 Hours a Week"; "Earn a 6-Figure Income Working Only an Hour a Day".

Is it really true, is it really that easy?

The short answer is yes. Most online businesses can easily be run in an hour or less a day....but if you want to grow & develop your online business, you will often end up spending much, much longer working on it. Some successful internet marketers admit spending up to 60 to 70 hours a week (at times) working on growing their businesses. The beauty of an internet business though, is that you can decide how much time you put into it, & when you do it. If you have a busy day - external work commitments, being mum's taxi, appointments to attend - or just don't feel like working on any particular day, you can turn the computer on, check your emails, & in half an hour or so be finished for the day.

In general, the minimum you need to do each day is check & answer any emails, but that may only take half an hour, so you could spend another half an hour writing the newsletter; or writing some articles to help promote your site & drive more traffic from the search engines; or create some new ads to test in your PPC (Pay Per Click) campaign or eBay auction listings. If you had the time to spend up to 2 hours a day working on the site, you could then look at starting to grow the business by starting an affiliate program, creating new websites, or selling more items on eBay.

It does, however, take a LOT more than 5 to 10 hours a week work to start an internet business (unless you are happy to spend 6 months working on it) - the one exception to this rule is eBay, & other online auctions. By taking the time to create a quality website, that is not only attractive to your visitors, but the search engines as well, you are setting yourself up well for long term success.

So, which online businesses require the least amount of work?

The 2 main businesses that come to mind, are Google Adsense sites, & affiliate program sites (create a website that contains links, & useful information on products you are an affiliate for). You can check the emails every day or 2, & maybe if you're feeling energetic, do a little work optimising the site for the search engines, but other than that there's isn't much else to do. The groundwork for Google Adsense sites, & affiliate program sites is still the same though as any other site. If you truly want to create a good, long term income, you may well find that you need to place even more work into one of these sites initially to create a large amount of natural search engine traffic. Pay Per Click advertising often isn't viable for an Adsense or affiliate site.

One of the biggest benefits though, of running an online business is the freedom it gives you, whether you have your own site, or sell in online auctions. Even if you decide you want to create your own 7-figure internet empire, & so work the 40 to 50+ hours a week to achieve that, you can do that work if & when it suits you. You aren't restricted to a 9 until 5 workday, you can take a week or so off if you need without having to close your shop, or ask the boss for leave. You are the boss!
